About Us

wm+a (Williams, Marijan & Associates) is a well established company that provides specialized and individualized direct support and clinical services. As such, wm+a’s fee-for-services are provided to children, youth and adults with a complexity of needs and circumstances and who may be diagnosed with: ASD/autism, developmental exceptionalities, ADD, FASD, ABI, emotional and mental health disorders including significant behavioural challenges.

Our specialized behavioural services mean that support is individualized.  ABA trained professionals follow an evidence-based system of understanding and addressing behavioural challenges and teaching critical life skills which leads to greater participation in the community and greater quality of life for the individual.

Our services are delivered at the location specific to that individual; home, school, day program, residential program, or hospital throughout GTA, York, Peel, Halton, Durham, Simcoe regions as well as the greater Hamilton area.

Dunya Marijan

Founder and CEO

Dunya is the founder and CEO of wm+a and sister company, AlphaBee. She has been committed to providing evidence based, specialized services to individuals with complex special needs throughout her career.  Dunya attributes much of her professional path to ABA training she received very early in her career. Across the 20+ years of wm+a and AlphaBee she has cultivated a commitment to service integrity, creating a team of well trained professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the individuals they support.

Our Team

wm+a is a dedicated and eclectic team of professionals working together to ensure our ultimate purpose for being is met each and every day – providing superior services to our community. Our service delivery is supported by a skilled team consisting of Service Coordination and Scheduling, Recruitment and Training, Clinical Supports, Finance, Administration and an IT/technical infrastructure.

We have a culture of learning; being at the forefront of both clinical and technical skills is a value to our clients and community. We likewise enjoy a culture of giving and sharing with our community as is evidenced by the many initiatives we organize and host. We have worked hard to earn the trust of our community and we continue to work hard to honour that trust.

Our Associate Team

wm+a Associate network consists of experienced and skilled workers. We select applicants who not only have prerequisite experience but also demonstrate interest in continued learning. wm+a is a learning organization and to become an associate means to have access to a range of learning options to ensure that skills are current and relevant, evidence-based and client-focused.

Our associates’ values and skills must be aligned with our commitment and the needs of our community. This means that our vetting process is thorough as is our continued monitoring of all mandatory and legislated requirements. At minimum, our Associates have:

  • A community college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline (CYW, DSW, BA, BST, BSW etc)
  • More than 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD (autism), Mental Health Disorders or Dual Diagnosis
  • A strong work history with individualized (1:1) supports with complex special needs population (with behavioural challenges)
  • The ability to work independently and successfully following a client BSP
  • A current Vulnerable Sector Screening (VPC), renewed annually
  • A Ministry-approved Crisis Intervention Training (CPI, SMG, UMAB)
  • A valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

Our Clinical Team

AlphaBee provides a range of ABA based services, from direct teaching – early intervention (ESDM and ABA) to advanced teaching (Theory of Mind/Perspective Taking), and academics – to clinical consulting and training options for our community. AlphaBee is a team of clinical experts and advanced thinkers that are always one step ahead. Remaining actively involved in learning and clinical projects allows us to adapt to and incorporate new and emerging research, as a result of which we provide the most advanced teaching strategies.
